route description:
- the first day of the Laurebina La trek is quite demanding
- on a short distance the trail gains over 1400 height meters
- the route starts in Dhunche
- after perhaps 5 minutes of walk through the village towards Syabru Besi one has to turn to the left
- and follow a dirt road to a small mineral water factory
- road descends a bit and after 5 mins walking further down, one has to follow a path to the left, towards the river
- after a short walk through a forrest, the path goes over a hanging bridge (1950m) to other side of the river
- follows a flat section along the river and after passing a loge standing there, the climb gets very steep
- the lead in are stone-concrete steps, which later dissapear and one walks up on a standard mountain path
- above app. 2300 metres, the wood changes into bushes and small trees, so there are some views into the valley
- in a steeper climb one reaches lodge Deurali (2625m), 2-3 hrs. ascent from Dhunche
- above Deurali the ascent is steep to very steep and goes thru forrest
- follows section of regular zig-zags
- in about an hour one reaches military camp at Dhimsa (3000m), photography not allowed here
- the path remains surrounded by wood and on steep trail one reaches one small lodge (3070m), nice viewpoint
- the last section is less steep, leaves the forrest and traverses up to Singh Gompa, the first day objective
